Books Rule!
I love books SO MUCH!
They were a refuge against the cruelty of my family; they were a light in the dark. They gave me hope, friends, courage and determination to make the world a better place. I dreamed of being a hero, one just like the characters in my books: Oliver Twist, Peter Pan, Elizabeth Bennet, Ishmael, Moby Dick, Nicholas Nickleby. All the heroes, all the brave souls who were determined to do what is right and to be the best that they can be. I want to be just like them!
Maybe, when I am older, I can write books. I can inspire other children, to keep hope in this dark world. To have a light in the dark, just like me. I can be just like the authors of those novels: Charlotte Bronte, J M Barrie, Herman Melville, Frances Hodgson Burnett, Charles Dickens and Roald Dahl.
